Once when we were in D.C. we walked what seemed like 20 miles in relatively new shoes. The next day we would have been estatic to find a band-aid in our room just so we could walk to the pharmacy to buy more. Another time attending a wedding in Loveland, CO, a button popped and needed to be sewn on. A needle and thread in our room would have saved time having to shop in a small town looking for it. Inspired by travelers in need, I put together a sewing kit for last minute hem slips, broken straps, and small sewing repairs plus a boo boo kit for those times when one needs minor first aid care.

We love nuts. Pistachios are especially wonderful. A bush growing 30 feet, the fruit is a drupe, containing an elongated seed, which is the edible portion. The seed, commonly thought of as a nut, is a culinary nut like a cashew, not a botanical nut such as an acorn. new dessert- pistachio baklava w/ pomegranate ice cream
