Since we opened in 1987, guests have asked us questions ranging from cooking and gardening to renovating an old building. This is life at the Catskill Rose as we know it; where we'll share what we know and pass on what we learn. We hope these pages convey our love of the area and our passion and curiosity.

New menu

Ah, sweet vacation is over May 4th.

We’ve planted the second asparagus bed. The peas, kale, turnips, broccoli raab, and collards are coming up as well as the lettuce. The beets , amaranth, parsnips, potatoes are all planted.

We re-open the dining room with a really good new menu. We think it may be the best one yet.

The weather is perfect Spring. The garden is just beginning to sprout peas, turnips, parsnips, kale, broccoli raab, and lettuces. No signs of asparagus yet, but the fruit trees are in flower as are the forsythias, magnolia and daffodils. Please join us for Easter. We open at 5 pm.
