beautiful

Days and days of rain have filled the already swollen creeks and more is coming. We are having one of the best looking springs that I can remember. The colors are amazing. The last of the kitchen garden beds are still waiting to get planted, the corn, eggplant, and peppers. Between storms we did manage to get the new cherry tree in the ground. I discovered a fig tree that is supposed to be hardy to minus 10, that is also waiting planting. We use to have a fig growing in a barrel that we’d haul in every winter that made tiny fruit until we couldn’t stand it any longer. Here is hoping Chicago Hardy is what we dream about in figs. There is still one room available for Memorial weekend. Come visit.
